Outer Heaven was a huge, impenetrable fortress 200 km south of Galzburg, in South Africa. Founded by Big Boss, it was the location where Metal Gear TX-55 was being built. However, Solid Snake infiltrated Outer Haven in 1995 to rescue Gray Fox and destroy Metal Gear. In the non-canonical GameBoy Color game, Snake returns to Outer Heaven to stop the deployment of Metal Gear GANDER.
Outer Heaven is again alluded to in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Liquid Ocelot named his Arsenal Gear warship Outer Haven.
