[edit] Background
Shadow Moses Island is located in Alaska where a nuclear weapons disposal facility is held. ArmsTech president Kenneth Baker decided to run some tests on Metal Gear Rex there in 2005, with assistance from FoxHound and the Genome Army. They (FoxHound and the Genomes) went rogue, and took over the base under Liquid's command.
